International teaching and research activities with a focus on person-centred care, care for older people, research ethics, research methodology (especially qualitative research and theory-based evaluation) and theory development. Co-editor of the journal QuPuG, Journal for Qualitative Nursing and Health Research; author of textbooks and numerous publications.
